When I left to get this shot there was no plan, no idea and no purpose, but I ended up with something beautiful (classic Mikey metaphor for life). I was in the Sawtooth Valley and it was around 2am and honestly I had no idea where I was. I pulled over, hopped out of my car and realized I had come upon something stunning. It was all so perfect it seemed fake.
It seems fake because the Milk Way sits above the valley perfectly, the highway stretches on for what seems like forever and the two just blend in such a complementing way. I remember editing this shot and thinking how simple it was and how there's nothing fighting for your attention. everything fits so well because really its just our universe in all of its glory.
I love that I get to go on these adventures and explore life with a camera. Honestly a lot has happened in the past two years since I got my first camera and its been such a blessing. As Livehigh grows and I get more corporate gigs (ayyy I just signed my first contract with a clothing company) it will always remain true to its original motto, "inspired by the lens, adventure awaits."
